VSSL UNION is Oahu's first-ever integrated Jiu-Jitsu and Yoga studio. We offer a dynamic schedule featuring 14 jiu-jitsu classes—including specialized sessions for kids—and 10 diverse yoga classes each week.

Frequently asked questions

  • Gi training is when you are wearing a Kimono with a belt to train. If you do not have a kimono and belt, you must first obtain one before training.

    A lot of the Gi training requires gripping pant or arm sleeves and lapels.

    No Gi training requires a rash-gaurd and shorts (without pockets) or leggings.

  • There are different types of memberships at VSSL:

    • BJJ memberships only for adults

    • BJJ memberships only for kids (ages 4-12)

    • Yoga memberships

    • BJJ + Yoga memberships

    • A variety of passes (drop-in, 10-pack and one week free-trial (for Oahu Residence only)

  • As of right now, we have a 30-day cancellation notice without penalty.

  • Yes, there is currently a total of 52 free parking stalls available in the Hale Mahana Building.

    The landlord may charge an hourly parking fee in the future.

  • OG membership is obtained from our crowdfunding membership. There are limited amounts of memberships per category. Once those memberships are filled up, we will no longer have them available.

    OG memberships will be a discounted rate and will have a slight increase with the rest of the membership each year.

  • One-week free trial is for potentially interested members living on Oahu. This can only be used once.

    One week pass are for non-residential visitors to Oahu.
